The immediate laying down of a comprehensive scheme for future Town Planning so far as it relates to.the alteration of streets and tree planting, and the preservation of Wellington's beauty spots sol that all. new works and undertakings in the future can be proceeded with in a, systematic way. " 4. Direct arterial roads to the outlying districts. 5. Shrewd business, policy in connection with the; Tramway, Service and the utilisation of the same for the development of the Suburbs. 6. No increase in Rates. ~ C. B. NORWOOD. WELLINGTON HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION. v i TO THE ILEGTOKS. ~W ADIES and Gentlemen,— I have the honour to invite your support in my candidature for re-elec-tion to the Harbour Board. During the ten years that I have held a seat on the Board it has been my ' constant endeavour to assist in making the Port of Wellington second to none on this side of the Dine: Progress on soimd principles and safe lines is the policy for me. •I am a firm believer in equipping our Port with a Floating Dock as soon as practicable after the present war is over. The want of this accommodation is a. serious handicap to Wellington at this time, and ,we shall be placed at a J disadvantage until it is supplied. , My interests are bound up with Wellington, and no efforts will -be spared by'me" to- keep the City and Port abreast' of the times. Hoping to receive at the Poll a renewal of the confidence you have reposed in me, I remain. _ Yours truly, \ ■ VVTLLIAM "CABLE.-;
