The exhibition of water colours from the brush of Mr. Walter Leslie, now proceeding at Maegregor Wright's oa .Lambton-quay, is both attractive and interesting. In fact, it is a highly creditable one-man show. There are 51 pictures in all, and they portray 6kiifully, with more or less impressionist effect, various phases of New Zealand coast, bush, and landscape. About a dozen sketches are devoted to the Mount Cook district, and among them a study Atount Cook lilies in their native habitat attracts much attention. Ther® is much variety of subject in this exhibition, and the number of "red stars" shows that the public are indulging their artistic tastes.
