Yer claim may be a dandy — An' yer hopin' that 'tis so, An 1 ' that 'twill pan out better The deeper that ye qo — But though ye dig out bushels 0' the golden metal bright, Yel l take out naught more precious Than yer blessed appetite. Yer coffee — it is nectar! Yer bacon — it is prime! Yer bread — waal, that is flapjacks, An' its flapjacks all the time ; But, bless ye, how ye love 'em ! They don't git stale a mite, For they're seasoned every meal time By yer blessed appetite. The nabobs with their millions.
