r I HE Wellington City Council hei eby I gives public notice that an offer has been made by the Company knoAvn as "Mnamar Limited" of a parcel of land, 48j acres in extent, at Miramai North, as a Public Park and Recreation Giound for the City of Wellington, as a free gift, provided the Electric Tramway service of the City of Wellington is extended thereto within a peuod of thi cc years from the 20th day of November, 1903. In 1903 "The Wellington City Recreation Ground Act" was passed by the Legislature empowering the Wellington City Corporation to contract with the Company for the puipose of the above offer. The estimated cost of extending the tramway in accoi dance with the Company's proposal is for permanent way, overhead equipment, rolling stock, plant, and contingencies .. £34,500 PROPOSED LOAN. To be floated locally (or elsewheie) by issue of debentuies at 4£ per cent, under the provision , of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," and "The Tramways Act, 1894." The Council of the City of Wellington hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to borrow, by wav of Special Loan, within the' meaning of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," the sum of £34,500, to be expended on the aforesaid tramway extension. The Council proposes to pledge a Special Rate of one fa,rthing (id) in the £ on the R/atable Value (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) of all ratablr property within the City of Wellington, comprising the Wellington and the Melrose Wards, as security for the said loan of £34,500 and Interest and Sinking Fund thereon. It is proposed that the whole of the amount of the loan .shall be repayable at the expiration of a term of 25 years, computed from the Ist day of September, 1904.
