In the ma/tter of 'The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," "The Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897," "The "Wellington City Empowering Aot, 1899," and "The Publ c Works Act, 1894." VJ OTTCE is hereby given that the 1A Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of Riddiford-s-treet, in the said City ; and for the purpoGes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of tihe Town Clerk to the said Council, situate at fiie comer of Brandon-street and Featherston-sti-eet, in tihe said City, and is open for inspection without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the siaid public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objootions to the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Wellington.
