NOTICE OF POLLING DAY. IN pursuance of "The Electoral Act, 1902," I, RICHARD MOTHES Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Hutt, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the 11th day of November, 1902, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as member for the said district ; and that the latest day for receiving Nominations of Candidates will be the 18th day of November, 1902 ; and that the Poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several poll-ing-places of the said district on the 25th day of November, 1902. Every man desirous of becoming a Candidate must be Nominated by not less 1 than Two Electors of the District, by a Nomination Paner as prescribed by Section 99 of the said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before 5 o'clock in the afternoon, on the 18th day of November, 1902. The following are the Polling Places for the Electoral District of Hutt ■ The Oddfellows' Hall, Petone (principal) The Public Hall, Kaiwarra Mrs. Moffatfs Store, Wadestown The Public Hall, Khandailah The Public Hall, Ngahauranga The Wesleyan Church, Belmont The Oddfellows' Hall, Lower Hutt The Public School, Muritai, Day's Bay The Public School, Wainui-o-mata The Public School, Taita Mr. Menzies Cottage, Silverstream The Courthouse, XJT>T>er Hutt The Public School, Kaifeoke Mr. Wackrow's Cottage, Akatarawa. LICENSING POLL. IN pursuance of "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Amendment Act, 1895," I hereby give notice that on the day appointed for the taking of i~-j& Electoral Poll of the Electors of the Electoral District of Hutt, simultaneously therewith a Licensing Poll will be taken upon the undermentioned proposals: — 1. I vote that the number of Licenses existing in the district continue. 2. I vote tihat the number of Licenses existing in the district be reduced. 3. I vote that No Licenses be granted in the district. Nominations for the appointment of Scrutineers in accordance with "The Licensing Poll Regulation A.ct, 1899," must be delivered to the Returning Officer on or before 5 o'clock in the afternoon, on the 18th day of November, 1902.
