STREET WIDENING LOAN
NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER
NOTICE is heieby given that at a Special Meeting of the City Council of Wellington , held at the City "Council Chambeis on Tuesday, the 27th day ot May, 1902, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the following resolution was passed by the said City Council That this Council hereby resolve to borrow by way of Special Order under the provisions of the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897, the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900, the sum of £25,000, such sum of money to be used (1) For acquiring land for widening and extending certain, streets in the city, and (2) For widening such streets and constructing such extension after the land has been acquired. That the interest to be paid for the above-mentioned sum of £25,000 be 4 per cent, per annum, and that such interest be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each year, and that the term of the loan be for twenty years from the first day of December. 1900 ; and that such interest be secured by a continuing Special Rate of 7-128ths of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value (such sum being equal to a Rate of One Halfpenny in the pound on the annual value) on all the ratable property in the city. And notice is hereby further given that the said resolution will be brought up for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Council, to be held in the Council Chamber, Brandon-street, on TUESDAY, the 24th day of June, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
