The Glasgow "Weekly Herald." of March Ist, contains a poem addressed to "'An'ra Carnegie, Esq.," by Donald Dunkeld, of Auckland, New Zealand. Here aie a few of the verses — Dear An'ra, hoos a' wi yersel'? I hear that ye'r gettin' on fine . D'ye mind ocht o' Dona!' Dunkel' Yer sohulemate an' crony lang syne ? Weel, An'ra, that laddie was me, I'm leevin' in Maorilamd noo. Far aw a' ower the sautv blue sea An' tlunkin' ge^ often o' you ' Ye ; ll mind a' oor pranks an' 001 ploys . The tricks that we pla^d at the schule. Twa wild little deenls o' boys. M\ certv we were, as a, rule' An' noo ne are grizzled an' <?\e\ Auld foeies, an' past is oor prune Yon have hunners o' millions, they say.
