WELLINGTON CHURCH BUILDING FUND.

At a general meeting of subscribers to the Wellington church building fund, held at the Court House, on Monday, 22d May, pursuant to public advertisement, Colonel Wakefield in the chair,

The Secretary-made a report of the state of the funds, by which it appeared that about 430/. had been subscribed, and that a sum amounting to about TOO/. /now remained at the'bank. The following resolutions were carried unanimously:— “That the state of the funds now collected and assured, warrant this meeting in proposing that a building for the’ accommodation of the members of the church should be immediately commenced :

“That the following gentlemen, three of whom shall form a qnorum, be requested to act as a committee, for the purpose of making contracts, and carrying into effect the erection of a suitable building :

Mr.'St. Hill, Captain W. B. Rhodes, Dr. Featherstone, Mr. Pharazyn, Mr. Kelham :

“ That the district committees appointed at the last general meeting be urged to use all possible exertion in obtaining payment of the two-quar-terly instalments now due, and in collecting fresh subscriptions: “That the'thanks of this meeting be given to Colonel Wakefield for his able conduct in the chair.” -H.-S.
