She brings a cargo of fruit, and also the captain, mate, and crew of the Bremen barque, Frederick Martin, which was wrecked on her voyage from Maldin Island to Europe, with a cargo of gua io. The Frederick Martin was drifted | ashore in some light winds on to Rorotonga, and soon after broke to pieces. Her entire crew, consisting of the ehven brought up by the Neva, were saved. . ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE BENGAL. The barque Bengal, Ca tain Sevier, arrived in the Tamaki yesterday, with a cargo of 197 cattle, having only lost two. on her passage from New- , castle. She left that port on the 3rd, and experienced very bad weather since, having on one ' occasion to heave to for four days, owing to the j extreme severity of the gale.—Messrs. A. L. Thompson and Co are her agents. I ARRIVAL OF THE ALICE CAMERON, i The barque Alice Cameron, Captain Nearing, ' arrived from Sydney yesterday afternoon, with the ; home mail, general cargo, and passengers. She , 1 left Sydney at 6 p.m. of the sth, and ha 4 fine . weather, with wind from the south, for the first i two days. Afterwards she bad an easterly gale, ' with wind veering from E. to N.&, which lasted far eight days. The wind down the coast was

wssterly, and she anchored in harbor at half-past nine a.m. yesterday.— Henderson and Macfarlane we ho- agents. We have to record one of the first accidents which has been caused by the steamer Waitemata; and, considering the circumstances under which it took place, it is hardly to be commented upon. During one of the severe sqnalls which occurred yesterday morning, when getting away from th* Flag st iff pier, she ran foul of the cutter Will Watch, and carried away her bowsprit. The damage done can be easily repaired, and will not retard the sailing of the Will Watch more than a day or so. While the brigantine Picard was rounding U her anchorage yesterday morning, a small cargo boat endeavored to run across her bows and got foul of her. The jib-boom of the Picard ran through the mainsail of the cargo boat and split it in two, carrying away part of it. Fears were entertained at first that the cargo boat would be capsized, as she remained for some time under the bows of the brigantine. She was, however, extricated after a short time, without further injury than that mentioned. The Picard did not sustain any injury from the collision. 'The barque Bengal arrived in the Tamaki yesterday, after a .tempestuous voyage Laving only lost two cattle on of the 199 first embarked. She was 14 days out. The h-igantiue Killermont arrived yesterday from Tutakaka, with timber and piles for the Queen-street Wharf. The schooner Neva arrived yesterday from the South Sea Islands. She brin s the crew of the wreck d Bremen barque, Fiederick Martin, whom she picked up at Rorotonga. The schooner Industry left the harbor yesterday for (Jmah, and when between the North Head and Rangitotu was caught by one of the sudden squalls (of which we experienced so many yesterday) and was capsized. We are happy to state that no lives were lost, the crew getting safely to shore There is very little hope of recovering the schooner, as she filled and sank immediately after the occurrence. The schooner Wahapn arrived in harbor yesterday from Puhoi, and made a remarkably rapid run from Tapeka Point to the 'orth Head, which she accomplished in twenty-four hours. She sighted the schooner Sea Breeze at 4p.m. on Saturday last, off Wongaruru. The schooner Neva reported inwards at the Customs yesterday. She will pass her entries to-day. The s.s. Ahuriri will leave the Manukau on Wednesday next with commissariat stores. There were 3. boxes of the English mail sent i Out to Onehunga yesterday, for the Wellington to take on to Nelson and New Plymouth. The brigantine Picard, from Hobart Town, entered inwards at the Customs yesterday. The barque Anne and Jane en ered outwards at the > nstoms yesterday ; as did alec the brigantine Hercules, for Newcastle. The following coasting vessels entered at the Customs yesterday:—Egmont, s.s,, from the South; Sylph, schooner from Russell; Martha, from Cabbage Bay ; Ki lermont, from Putukaka; Planet, from Ohara; Comet, from Puhoi; Wahapu, from Rmsoll; Cljde, from Mahurangi; and Prince of Wales, from Great Barrier.
