ONEHUSGA POLICE 0 »UIP.-Mowat. (Before J. J. Sy mends, Esq,. li.M.) Larceny. —Bridget Gerality was brought before the Magistrate yesterday morning charged by Edward Clark with having stolen two pairs of boots, value £4, from his premises. The nlsintiff stated that he was removing his stock of boots from the shop to an upper room assisted by his brother-in-law, William Nicholls, who pinned several pairs of boots on the landing, not having the key of the upper room door at the time, but on the arrival of the plaintiff, who brought the key with him, and on placing the goods in the room, they found two pairs missing, when they then searched the defendant’s room, and found the lost articles. The defendant stated she bad taken them on account of the plaintiff owing defendant money. Case dismissed, with a caution to be careful in future how she obtained her payment.
