CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 20 sov. ; added to a sweepstake of 5 sovs, each, for Horses that have smarted and not won an advertised prize during the meeting. One Mile ; to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint ; entries to be made not later tbaii twenty minutes after the Military Plate has been run.

FOURTH RACE. 3 P.M. FORCED HANDICAP, of 10 sovs., with a sweep of 5 per cent, on the previous winnings added, for all winners during the meeting ; optional to beaten horses, by paying an entrance of 3 sovs. to the stale. One Mile and a distance ; to be handicapped in the same way, and entered at the same time as for the Consolation Stakes. FIFTH RACE, 5 P.M. A HACK RACE, of 10 sovs. for Horses not entered for these races ; entrance 1 sov. ; one mile, catch weights ; a post entrance. The Auckland Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to. The decision of the Stewards in all disputes will be final. Mares and geldings allowed Slbs., and a further allowance of 3lbs. for Maidens in all races except the Maiden Races. Welter Maidens allowed 71bs. No person allowed to nominate or enter a horse unless a bona fide .subscriber of £3 3s. to the fund, except for the Hack and Pony Race for which £1 Is. will qualify. All riders to appear in proper Jockey costume, or will be fined £1 la. The weighing bell will be rung fifteen minutes before starting. 11. HARDING TON, Hon. Secretary. AMUSEMENTS RACES! RACES!! AWRENCE ROBERTSON, of the Union Hotel, Queen-street, having seemed from the Race Committee, at a considerable outlay of money, the large and commodious premises on the “ Course,” known as Begs to inform the public that he will be prepared to supply them with Wines, Bottled Beer, English Draught Ale and Stout, Spirits, Lemonade, Gingerbeer, Champagne, Fine Claret, Moselle, Fine Colonial Wines. All of first-class quality. THE CUISINE DEPARTMENT Will be attended to, and conducted by a thoroughly competent party, and the public ean rely on their wants receiving the utmost attention. POTTER’S BARN, HORSES. Provision has been made for the accommodation of

Horses in a Paddock, at the back of the Barn, where a competent Groom will tie in attendance to feed and water them at a reasonable charge. MUSIC. A Band will be in attendance to discourse sweet music in the Barn during the day, and A GRAND BALL Will be held each evening during the Paces. Strictest order will be enforced.
