PROCLAMATION. By Robert Graham, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province, of Auckland, iu the Colony of New Zealand. WHEREAS by an Act made and passed in the twenty-first year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled the “Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858,” it is among other things enacted that it should be lawful for the Superintendent by Proclamation to declare that a certain block of laud therein described should be set apart and reserved for certain Immigrants expected to arrive from the United Kingdom or elsewhere, other than the Australian Colonies. Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby proclaim and declare that all that block of Land known as the whole of the Pakiri Block. North of the Water-shed line of the range of mountains from Paekauri to Tamahunga, and Westward of the Huipapa District, as delineated on Mr. Clmrton’s plan, now in the Laud Office. Estimated to contain 20,000 acres. Shall be reserved and set apart for certain Immigrants expected to arrive from the United Kingdom in connexion with the Church of England Emigration Society.
