Maritime Record.

The schooner Fairy, Captain McKenzie, arrived in harbour from Taranaki via Ahipara on Tuesday night last. The Fairy has been a week on the passage round from Ahipara, and experienced very heavy weather, losing her bowsprit, head gear, &c. The schooner Albatross, Capt. Clarke, sailed for Sydney last evening. She has been chartered by the Government to convey a cargo of Commissariat stores from Sydney to Taranaki. The schooners Sea Breeze and St. Kilda both left for Russell yesterday evening. On her return from the Bay the Sea Breeze will be placed on the berth for Xapier. The ship Ximroud, for Colombo, and barque Betty Perlbach, for Batavia, both sail this morning, and will keep company together through Torres Straits. The steamer Tasmanian Maid, Captain Jackson, leaves for Coromandel this morning, at 11 o’clock, returning again on Saturday afternoon next. The schooner Flying Fish, Captain Webster, has been placed on the berth for Xapier. The brig Reliance, Captain Riddle, came alongside the Queen-street \\ harf yesterday morning, and commenced t fnO discharge of her cargo. ■

The schooner Vivid, Captain Harcliman, arrived from Hokianga yesterday morning. The T. S. Mort was still loading timber at Hokianga tor Sydney, at the date of the Vivid's departure. Mr. George Clarke’s new cutter was launched from the yard of Messrs. Holmes Brothers, Novth Shore, y terday at 1 p.m. She is a tine looking boat of about 40 tons, and has been named the Cornstalk.

The schooner Bee, Capt. Wyatt, has been again laid on the berth for Canterbury, and will sail in a few days. The schooner Zephyr, Captain Lowrie, will sail this day, with a full cargo for Taranaki, Wanganui, and Nelson.

The French whaleship Wins'ow, Capt. Labaste, takes her departure to-morrow. From this port the Winslow proceeds direct to New Caledonia, and from thence to the Whaling grounds. The American barque Glimpse, Captain Boyling, may now soon be considered due from California with a cargo of oats.
