Commercial Record.

N K U'-Z K A I. A NI) R R O fli CO, Friday, November Mth, 18(52. } he weeli has been, comparatively, an idle one—Monday being a general holiday in celebration of the coming of age of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wale,—and Wednesday in celebiation of the Auckland Cattle Show. Strong westerly weather has continued to prevail, blighting the pastures, and drying np the soil in every direction, On Wednesday and Thursday we had some passing showers, but they were much too scanty to penetrate the ground, which stands greatly in need of a thorough soaking. T he foreign arrivals have been the Fanny Fisher, Trossacks, and Ann and Jane, barques, from Adelaide, with wheat and flour ; the I’rossacks having likewise brought sugar and rice, part of cargo shipped at the Mauritius. Breadalbane, barque, from Launceston, with gram and lumber. Fortune, brig, from Newcastle, with coals; and ship William Miles, from London, with merchandise, and 332 passengers. The departures were the ship Hanover, for Calcutta; btig Woodlark, tor Sydney ; and schooner Flying Fish, for Tahiti. The utmost bustle prevails at the wharf, which, f om morning tilt night, is crowded with carts, drays, goods, and passengers luggage, to a most inconvenient degree. All the berths are occupied, barques, brigs, and schooners, taking possession of every available space, and olbcts clamouring to come alongside. The want of sufficient bcrtlinge is becoming more and more urgent, and we heartily hope that speedy means will be devised to meet the daily increasing necessities of the port. '1 he produce received coastwise this lust week is very limited, amounting only tt -1 bushels wheat, lOcwt.pork, 50 lbs, butter, 2(1 dozen eggs, 22 fowls, 51 head cattle, 3(i pigs, 2 horses, 2 tuns oil, 200 lbs. wool, 2 tons kauri gum, 2,000 palings, 20,000 shingles, 400 feet sawn timber, ,0J tons firewood, 40 cwt. bacon, 150 lbs. lard, 43 sheep.

AUCKLAND STOCK AND SHAKE MARKET. Auckland Stock Exchange. The principal item of intelligence from Coromandel this week refers to the discovery of the reef in the Driving Creek. This circumstance cannot fail to lead to important results in the future operations in that locality. I shall be able next week to give a description of the auriferous character of the quartz. The Share List of the “Perse verance Quartz Reefing Company” closed on the Kith instant. Roth Keven’s and the Auckland Companies are expediting the erection of their Machinery, which will probably be in good working order in about six weeks. The Share Market generally may be described to be at present in a very torpid condition, Nkw Zealand Stock.
