To the Editot of the New-Zealander,
Sir, —I see that Mr. R. 0. Stewart has very properly brought 8000 acres of Government land, situated at Whaingaroa before the notice of the public, by mentioning them in his position in the Provincial Council. If Mr. Stewart had done justice to the district in which he resides, he would have made public the extraordinary crops which have been obtained in sonic parts of Whaingaroa. Mr. Stewart could have spoken from personal knowledge of the crops off his own farm. .Any one who visited Whaingaroa would only have to cast a look at Mr. Stewart’s farm to be perfectly satisfied of the capabilities of Whaingaroa land; as well as ot the industrious habits of at least one of the settlers. Hoping that you will publish thcsi few lines to bring the Whaingaroa settlement somewhat into notice, I am, &c., Kawiiia. Kawhia, April 12th, 1862.
