MILITIA. Ist AUCKLAND BATTALION. Battalion Orders, April 22nd, 1861. ALL the unarmed Men of No. 1, 2, and 3 Companies who have been drilled, will parade at the Albert Barracks, on TUESDAY next, the 30th April instant, at i-past 6 o’clock a.m. Should Tuesday be wet, the parade will be on the following morning. THE Militiamen and Members of Volunteer Corps of the 2nd Battalion Militia who have attended Drill regularly and are consequently entitled to receive 90 rounds of 'Ball Cartridge per man, free of charge, can obtain the same on application to Serjeant-Major Mitchell, at the Magazine, Albert Barracks, on MONDAY 29th April. Competition for Prizes. npHE COMMITTEE have fixed the days for firing 1 as under: beginning on Wednesday, the Bth of May, 1861 : I. Prizes to be shot for with the Government Regulation Enfield Rifle, on the Bth, 9th, 10th, and 11th May. 11. Prizes to be shot‘for with Breeciiloading Rifles and Cakuines, on the 15th and 16th of May. HI. Prize to be shot for with Revolvers, on 17th of May. IV. Prize open to all comers with any weapon, increased by the entrance fee of 10s. from each competitor, on the 18th of May. V. Ties to be shot off on Monday, the 20th May. VI. The Silver Vase presented to the Association by John Logan Campbell, Esq., to be competed for by the Winners of the other prizes, who are Members of the Association, on Tuesday, the 21st May. The Regulations for firing have already been published (Ist March). All competitors must be on the ground before 10 o’clock a. in., on the days mentioned ; after that hour the List for the day will be closed and the shooting proceeded with. H. GILFILLAN, Hon. Sec. NOTICE is herein- given that Tenders will be received at this office, before twelve o’clock (noon) on MONDAY, the 29th April, 1861, from persons willing to execute certain works and alterations required to a Building at Onehunga, to convert it into a Bonded Store and Custom House, according to a design and specification which may be seen on application to the Inspector of Public Works. Tenders to be endorsed “ Tender for Alterations, &c.. Custom House, Onchunga.” The right of selecting any Tender, or declining all, is reserved. K. F.
