IN making the above announcement to the Public of Auckland and its vicinity, LEWIS JAMES, the proprietor, avails of the opportunity afforded respectfully to return his best thanks for the share of patronage which it has been his privilege to receive since his commencement in business, and to state that being fully conscious that the disadvantages of limited space, a contracted kitchen, and an imperfect cooking apparatus, have for some time past entailed serious inconrcnience to his patrons, he has taken these NEW and EXTENSIVE PREMISES, which have been fitted up from designs by, and under the personal superintendence of Mr. Viaiou, the Architect, in such a stylo as ho trusts will effectually remove those disadvantages, and ensure in every respect the future convenience and comfort of his customers. With a view to meet the requirements of LADIES visiting this City, L. J. has set apart a Private Room for their especial use, and aluo a spacious Smoking and Reading Room for Gentlemen, which will be regularly supplied with all the Auckland and many London Newspapers, Chess, and Draughtsmen, &c. QUALITY, CLEANLINESS, & ECONOMY, will, as heretofore, invariably characterise this Establishment; and its central position, it is hoped, will be found of advantage to country visitors. L.
