L.vw.—On Monday, the 15th instant, Mr. Edmund James Cox was admitted by His Honor Chief Justice Arney to practise as an Attorney and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New Zealand. Auckland Choral Society.—To-morrow evenin?, in the Odd Fellows' Hall, the last public rehearsal of the present season will be given, commencing at half-past 7 o'clock. The music will be sacred, and will consist of a selection from Handel's Oratorio " San son," and Elvey's Oratorio "The Resurrection and Ascension." We are requested to state that honorary subscribers' tickets for the coming musical year, are now being delivered—in exchange for cash, of course; and to urgo each present subscribing member to endeavour to obtain an additional member, thus enabling the Society to make still more rigorous efforts tor promoting the practice and performance of the best choral compositions. Wb understand that the Annual Tea Meeting in connexion with the Auckland Wesleyan Mission, will be held in the Schoolroom of the Auckland Chapel this evening. The collections at the anniversary services amounted to i 4O 14s. 2d.' The Trial of the New Fire Bell, to which we alluded the other day as being likely soon to be given, will, we are requested to state, take place on Saturday morning next, at six o'clock.
