HARDINGTON d WOOD Are instructed to offer to public competition at auction, in their rooms, on THURSDAY. the 12th August, at noon, T) Y virtue of an Act of the Parliament of New Zealand, certain lands at the North Shore, comprising about 200 acres of excellent Land, well known as part of the Glebe at Saint Mary’s Native Institution, for the purpose of re-investing the proceeds in other Lands for the promotion of the Roman Catholic Native Educational purposes. It is divided into convenient allotments capable of being laid out into valuable Small Farms, The Plan of the Allotments is open for inspection at the Auction Mart. It is well known that the Government has determined that a Steamer shall ply between the City and the North Shore, and it needs no Seer to tell the consequences. We may only look to Sydney, where the introduction of small Steamers, only a few years ago, has transformed the North Shore, Balmain, and Pyrmont, from barren rocks and stunted scrub, into smiling villas and populous villages.
