if rejected by the Board, other supplies of a satisfactory nature are to be immediately substituted, or else the Commissariat Department will cause purchases to be made, and charge the expense against the Contractor. 13. In the event of more than thiee rejections, according to the previous condition, of any one article of supply occurring during any one calendar month, it shall be optional with the undersigned, or his successor in office, to end the contract at once, and to enforce the penalty of the bond. 14. —Contractors must be prepared to supply whatever may be demanded by the Commissariat, without reference to the service for which the supplies may be required, whether Military, Naval, or any other. 15—The contractor to prepare his own account, monthly, according to the prescribed form, and on producing the same, with the requisite vouchers, in a complete state at this office, he will receive payment by means of a Bill upon the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty’s Treasury, at par, when the amount due exceeds .€SO, —when under the amount, payment will be made in cash. 16. —The supplies required shall be delivered by the Contractor direct to the person or persons entitled thereto, on the order of the Senior Commissariat Officer, or of any person to be deputed by him for that purpose. 17. —All carts employed by Contractors in delivering stores and supplies at the Albert Barracks, must pass through the South Gate only. Each Tender to be in duplicate, sealed and endorsed “Tender for Annual Supplies at Auckland.” A Tender once sent in cannot be withdrawn or altered. Information as to what Tenders have been accepted will be given as soon as practicable, and the Bond must then be completed without delay. Should any person who may sign a Tender, either as a proposed Contractor or as a Surety, refuse to fulfil his offer on an unsatisfactory excuse, he will be consided ineligible in future to act in cither capacity.
