MARRIED.
At Russell, by the Rev. F. Gould, on the sth inst. David Mason, of the Wabapu, to Harriet, relict of the late Wm. Gardiner of the same place.
The Proprietors of the New Zealander—encouraged by the continued and still-increasing favour which this Journal has experienced, and anxious to render it yet more worthy of the patronage of all classes of the community,—have made arrangements by which Commercial, Agricultural, and Maritime intelligence will be made a more prominent feature in its columns than heretofore. With this object they have added to the literary staff a gentleman who will have special charge of these departments,—the General, Editorial management as well as the principles of the Paper, remaining unchanged. It is hoped that the result of this and other arrangements will prove in the best way their grateful sense of the patronage with which the New Zealander has been honoured, and of which it may, confidently anticipate, be found increasingly worthy.
