ST. PATRICK'S HALL. AT a Meeting held in the Catholic School Room, Auckland, on Monday the 9th day of July, to take into considation the necessary measures for erecting a Teetotal Hall, The Rev. Father Petit Jean in the chair, it was unanimously resolved — 1. That it is desirable that the members of " St. Patrick's Total Abstinence Society" should have a Hall sufficiently large to enable them to meet together and advocate the moral principles which they have espoused. 2. That from the increasing number of children the present School Room is inadequate, and that the Hall could be devoted to educational purposes during the day. 3. That it is the unanimous opinion of this meeting that such a Hall would tend not only to the improvement of the moral and intellectual condition of the rising generation, but would be replete with benefit to the community at large from the purposes to which it is intended to be devoted during the evening. 4. That the following gentlemen be appointed a Committee to open a subscription list, and to adopt the necessary measures for erecting St. Patrick's Hall. Mr. H. Coolaghan, Mr. D. Lorrigan, « W. Grace, " P. Whelan, " P. Donovan, " A. Peterson, " T. Henry, " J. Nolan, " D. Lynch, " P. Grace, « T. Boylan, " B. Gittos, " — Egan.
