MONSIEUR DE LA TOUR'S New Parisian System, to Cut all Garments in the Trade fron Scales and Parallel Lines.
This new method of Measuring and Cutting is now translated into English, it is extremely simple, and differs much from anything ever known before in the Trade. It consists of a large Atlas with 12 Maps, with printed explanations of each Map, and of the whole art of measuiing properly. The Maps are beautifully engraved on copper, and contain 180 models, viz : — 40 Coats, 1 1 Waistcoats, 8 Pair or Trowsers, 4 Cloaks, 2 Capes, Ladies' Habits, Spencer Jackets, Tunics & Gaiters. It is also accompanied with 4 Scales, three of which are in wood, and will produce 25 Sizes. suitable for all shapes of men, the other scale is in tape to take the measures on the person. This work contains every description of Garment, suitable for all shapes, whether short and stout, thin and tall, and corpulent men, tall, short, and of the medium size. For all these kind of figures the shape can be produced by the scales, a system never before known in the trade. The price of the work, complete, including scales and measures, and printed instructions, j s £5 ; — if packedfor transit, £5 ss.
