The manufacture, as well as the smelting of ](vul,is likely to be piosecuteil with success in ihis colony. The pig-lead produced by Mr. Carleion (Mr. Bean's successor in the smelting vroiks at Hmdmarsh, and described elsewhere), is in a highly ineich'intable form, and will, doubtless, f>p added to our Ms! of exports through the active »sienc\ of Messrs Yonnghnsband & Co The (c.is.l) sheet-lead, mannfacture<l from colonial mak'li.il, by Mr. D>er, of Kenbington, for A. JL. hliler, lisq , is lemarkably w ell put out of hand j and we hear that the making of what is called nulled lead will shorth be commenced. Such operations ''annot fail to he attended with the best 1 (Mills. Mr. P>hus continues to use the colonial copper, with perfect success, in the composition of his beil metal ; and not only do his ordeis for &f)fc\>pand cattle t>e!ls keep pace « ith the pastoial iiicrt j «M« of the colony, biit the orders received by M.n for jix-db&Us seem !o be as incessant as ceri i.n reputed clippers of the ambulatory kind. li« handsome bell lately made for the IBnrra Wines weighed al.out one hundred and sixty pounds.
