SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 18 45.

Be just and fear not : Let all the ends thon aims't at, be thy Country's, Thy God's, and Truth's.

On Tuesday lasf, H. MvßrigM v Brig of War Osprey, of 12 guns, Commander Patten, arrived in our harbour from Singapore, after a quick passage of six weeks, bringing the specie that has so long been expected by the D<zdalns. She relieves the Hazard bloop of War on this station, consequently will remain here for some time. She is a beautitul vessel, and was one of the experimental squadron in the British Channel, last year. By her a small mail was received, which had been sent overland from England to Bombay, and thence by steamer to Singapore. The few letters are of as late date as the beginning of May, but there are no English newspapers. The brig Guide arrived on Thursday from Sydney, but from her long passage, having left Sydney on the 25th August, she brings no English news of later date than that received by the Deborah from Hobart Town, which arrived here on the- 26th August. There had been no arrival from England at Sydney when the Guide left, since the Graham, on the Bth of August. The barque British Sovereign, from the Bay of Jslands, was entering the harbour as the Guide came out. There were three Imndred troops of the 58th Regiment ready to embaik for New Zealand, and the detachments of the 96th Regt. had been called in from Norfolk Island to be sent here also ; and large quantities of stores were being prepared at the Commissariat for immediate ship, ment. The next arrival from Sydney must bring most important and interesting English news, as it is probable the Post-office packets of the Ist and 15th of May may have arrived in Sydney by the beginning of September.
