June 7. American brig, Falcon, of Lynn, from Boston, via Cape of Good Hope, and Adelaide, with geoei.il cat go. Passenger, J. B. Williams, Esq., American Council for New Zealand.
We give below a return of merchant vessels which have anchored during' the last quaiter of 1844, in the B iy of Taishae, island of Row-hiva, Marquesas : — Trench, the ship Julius Casnr, ofEoidcaux, 300 ton*, laden with supplies for the establishment; the brig Etlouard Maria, of Boideaux, 12J tons, from Valparaiso, with merchandise; the barque La Mane, of Bo'ileaux, !6\> tons, fiom Valparaiso, with merchandise ', these tl ree subsequently pro« ceded to Tahiti Foreigner', — '1 he English ship tJeait of Oak, ol iNexvcdstle, 325 tons, laden with coals ; the American Avhaitr, Daniel IVebster, of Nuntuc ket, 343 tons, fiotn I'dlcaliiidno; the American whaler, John Coy,Ueshell, ol Newpoit, 333 toil', from Valparaiso ; the! American whaler, fFaslungtun, of Nantucket, 300 tons, from Callao; the English whaler, Rifleman, ol London, 32u tons, from Talcahuano. Coilecliv-ely, tliese vessels wereol 1,213 tons, their crewsamouuUd to 164 iiion, and their cargoes were valued at J ,81.3, 13.$ fidius and 64 centimes. — Journal dt Tukut. J'..u. 9, 1845.
Died . — On tho 24th instant, Janet, Wife of Mr. Thomas CtEonouN, of the Tamaki: a truly excellent Lady of most unaffected exemplary piety.
