ENFIELD RIFLE CLUB.
RIFLE SHOOTING MEDAL COMPETITION. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Last Thursday afternoon the members of the Enfiold Defence Rifle Club met at their range to shoot for a gold medal presented to the club by Mrs Cox, under the following conditions:— Five shots each at the following ranges: •lOOyils, 500 yds, and 600 yds, service sights, and no sightcr, with a limit of five points of a handicap, and no slings, There was a very good attendance. The afternoon was dull, and a very tricky wind, which changed to three different directions and was very puffy. Most of the shooters bad not shot at the 400 yds and 600 yds before; therefore) under the weather and conditions of the match, it was a day out for those, who have had more experience or were more experienced shots, Even then it cannot be said their shooting was good. The winner turned up in Aricc-presi-dent M. J. McFadgen, who lias been a very hard worker since the club was formed, It was a very popular win, and the winner was freely complimented on his win, On the call of the president (Mr J. A. Meek), three hearty cheers were accorded the winner. This brought to a close a very enjoyable shoot. The following are the best seven shots:— •100 300 600 yds, yds.yds.Hp.Tl. V.P.
