KILLED IN ACTION.
' Gunner William 0. Richmond (killed in action in France) was the youngest son of Mr James Richmond, of Maerewheuua, and the late Mrs C. M. Richmond. He was born at Richmond's Crossing, NorthVtago, and received hid primary education at the Kensington School, Later on he attended, the Arthur Street School, and finished his education at the Otago Boys' High School. After leaving sehool, he was employed in Messrs John Edmond's warehouse, but. not earing for indoor life, he went to Maerewhenua and worked for his fathei' till lie enlisted. He went away with the Seventh Reinforcements, .and from Egypt he . proceeded, with the •Main Body to France. He was'wounded shortly after going into action, and was invalided to England. He returned to France last January, and was in the fighting up to the time of his death. He was twenty-two years of age. ' .
