WIN FOR NATIONALISTS,

(Per Cable—Press Association— MELBOURNE, November 16,

■ The State elections resulted in a victory for the Nationalists, the state of parties being: Ministerialists 10, Nationalists 22, Labour 10, Independent Labour 3. All the Ministers are safe. MELBOURNE, November 16.'

The election figures cabled cover those seats practically beyond doubt. Fifteen are still in doubt, some depending on the second count. The out.standing feature is Hie victory for the advocates of economy. Several Liberals who adhered to the Peacock Ministry were defeated. The outcome promises to be that the ministry will find itself with only the remnants of its supporters, and a new leader will be chosen, from the members, of the new National party.
