RESPONSIBILITY OF STATE, COMPENSATION FOR FINANCIAL LOSS. (Per Press Association,) WELLINGTON, August t. In the House this afternoon, replying to Mr P. G. Webb, the Minister, of.Defence said the position of men ordered into camp, who sold their business in order to do so, and who were afterwards discharged as medically unlit, was amongst the most difficult problems the defence Department had to deal with. The question whether they were entitled to compensation would be considered by Cabinet.
