The Kauri arrived from Newcastle via Timaru, about eleven o'clock last night, to discharge a enrgo of coal. The Corinna- is due on the 12th February to load for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. The; Te Anau is not now expected until about the 9th instant. The old steamer Glaucus left Newcastle on,a reccnt.Saturday for Noumea with a cargo of Seahain coal, and upon discharge of this will proceed io Surprise Island to load a cargo of phosphates for New Zealand, thence back to Australia. Captain Eees Reynolds is now in command of the Glaucus. Captain Martin, late chief o'licer of the hospital ship Makcno, took command of the Kainona on Fvh'nv last relieving Captain McLean, late chid' officer of the mail steamer Makurn. Captain McLean was a passenger bv the Tarawera on, Saturday for Wellington, where he will await orders, Captain Appleyard was a passenger by the Tarawera to Napier, where he will take command of the Kurow, relieving Captain Saunders. THE PERRY SERVICE. The following vessels leave Lyttelton for Wellington on the arrival of trains from Christchurcli as under:— To-day—Maov!, 7.23 p.m.; Tarawera, 10.30 p.m. Mouday—Mararoa. 7.23 p.m. TELEGRAMS.
