meeting of, boabd, / A meeting of the United Friendly Societies' Dispensary Board was• held on Tuesday evening. Mr James Gerrie presided over a. large attendance of members.

A review.of the annual report.showed that after allowing substantial amounts for depreciation of fittings and reserve accounts tho. net profits for the year were £3OS -is 2d.. Out of this sum the amount of £26 2s was remitted to uieiubers as reduced, levies. The Board-are in a, very financial position, -as'the-st-scts arc more than treble the liabilities, the only , liability being the capital invested by members. It was decided to pay ii 15 per cent, dividend mi capital, being a direct benefit to members. Since the inception of the dispensary the sum of i"3oy had been paid to members in dividends, and £92 of debentures, which assisted materially'' in .commencement of the dispensary had been redeemed.

Several matters of vital importance to friendly society members were discussed in detail.
