A Rumanian communique says:' The enemy attacks in Slanie valley and Moldavia were repulsed, The enemy at, Prahova, after a furious bombardment', attacked several times, but were repulsed with sanguinary losses. The Rumanians maintained their positions, The Rumanians captured a trench at Dragoslavele, Fierce fighting continues on the left bank of the Alt, The Rumanians advanced northwards and captured a mountain, The enemy attack on the right Alt was stopped. The attempt of the enemy to land on the mouth of the Alt was repulsed.
OPERATIONS BY THE FRENCH. RENEWED AERIAL ACTIVITY. (Australian and N,Z. Oablo Association.) Received November 12, 11.30 p.m. PARIS, November 12. A communique says: The French, in the afternoon, north of the Sonune, recaptured most, of the village of Saillisol, and 1 occupy the north-eastern and south-eastern outskirts of the town. The-enemy is .still'resisting desperately in the eastern part, The German attacks south of Pressoir, south of the Sonune, were repulsed with-bombs. A furious .artillery duel continues at Ablnincourt and Gomiccourt districts. Seventeen British aeroplanes on Friday, at Foklinger, north-west of Sarrbruck, 'felled three enemy machines in the Tights during the raid. The following night ..eight French aeroplanes 'dropped two and, a half tons of projectiles on the same works. Several fires were observed.. All the.machines [•returned safely. .. .
