Included among the names in Saturday J s list. of.' men killed in action is that of Sapper Robert McGimpsey, son of Mr-.T, McGimpsey, Otfake, Sapper McGimpsey, who was about twentythree years of age, was born at Otiake and received his early education at the local school, after which he attended the. Waitakii Boys' High School, where lie distinguished himself in the lield, both of., learning aiid athletics, He was captain of the football tifteen, junior champion track athlete, and an excellent •swimmer. Private Henry Francis Hodgson, killed in action on the lytli September, was a brother of Mrs T. C. Wiggs, of Onmaru. Private Hodgson enlisted with the Wellington Battalion and sailed with the Tenth Reinforcements, lie was about twenty-three years of age, and prior to joining the Expeditionary Force was engaged in farming at Eltham. Mrs Wiggs has; another brother at the front with the Thirteenth Reinforcements.

S, Bicliards, of the 12th Batttalion Essex Infantry Regiment, who went to the front ,on July 12, was wounded in France, and is now in England. Lieutenant Richards was'the Rhodes sermlar for New Zealand last yeai and left Christchurch some months ago for Oxford. Private K, McC), Anderson, Private R, McC, Anderson, who is reported to have been wounded on' September 12, is the fourth son of Mr Wm. and Mrs Agnes Anderson.
