"Easterly winds, strong to gale, have ruled northward of East Cape mill ILv whia, south-easterly breezes about Cook Strait and northerly elsewhere. Cloudy weather has , prevailed, with rain in the northern districts, and a falling barometer everywhere. "Present indications a're for strong easterly winds backing to northerly; weather cloudy ami unsettled. Rain will probably follow generally. The barometer has a'falling tendency everywhere."
