A mounted trooper was killed by a fall from a tramcar in Colombo Street on Sunday evening when returning to camp. He had been identified as Trooper Matthew Gallagher, of Gibbon Street, Sydenham. He was a member of"B" Squadron, having just- been transferred from the infantry. Ho was 28 years of age, and his parents reside at Prebleton. •

When the roll call was sounded this morning it was found that Trooper Matthew Gallagher was -missing. Gallagher's cousin thereupon proceeded to the morgue, and identified deceased by a vest lie was wearing. Deceased'was standing by himself on the rear platform of the 9.115 Addingtou car from Cathedral Square.
