DUNEDIN FIRE BOARD.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, Febroary 1. Superintendent Napier reports that for the six months ended December 31st there were 36 fires in ■buildings. The insurances on .property affected totn/led £143,500. The, loss, however, to the insurance companies wm tmiy l£93&!0, The value 0 f unimproved property was £23,545, whjle the loss was only £l7O. The heaviest individual loss was that of Findlay and Co., of £5200.. To <late there have been 89 calls,of which 42 were serious fires.
