A CASE OF SUICIDE.
Per Press Association, Christchureh, January G. An inquest was held this afternoon touching the death of Thomas Godfrey Bezett, whose body was found on the beach at New Brighton on Sunday morning. Ihe deceaseds ramping mate (Frederick George Gardner) said that Bezett went to New Brighton on Friday Inst, and ho had then a gun in his possession. He behaved during his slay at New Brighton in nn cxcitable manner, as if he were drunk. He informed witness that lie was in trouble at Temuka, and that he was leaving the colony on Monday. He was peculiar in his manner on Saturday night, but was not under the influence of liquor, He talked a lot to himself. ITo had previously told wit-
ncss about a friend who had committed suicide. The jury returned ut verdict that deceased committed suicide while of unsound mind.
