CLEARING SALE AT TOTARATAHI.
Dalgcty and Co. (Ltd.) report having held a clearing sale of horses, cattle, sheep, farming plant, furniture, etc., on account of Mr John O'Ncil, Totaratahi, on Thursday, Ist November. The day was everything {that could he desired, and there was a very large attendance of farmers and others from the surrounding districts, South Canterbury, Kurow, and Hampden being well represented. The general arrangements were admirable, stock, implements, etc., being well displayed. Bidding was very brisk throughout the sale, and good pr'cos for all lots were obtained. Tho sale started at 12.30, and it was C o'clock when the last lot was offered. The catering was in .the hands of Mr \\. Bee, superintended by Mr Jas, Knights, and, necdicss to say, was up to ■ his usual fust-class style. The following arc some of the prices obtained :
