STUDHOLME STOCK SALE.
There was a .very good yarding of 1 I fat cattle at this sale on Saturday and exceptionally good prices were obtained. The Farmers' Co-operative ' sold, on account of Mr Wm. Quinn, 61 head of prime fit bullocks. The attendance was.good including a lar.fi i number of butchers from Pleasant Point, Waimate, and surrounding districts, which helped the cattle sale considerably. The sheep market w;.s small and the sale was not veiy brilliant, Cattle, tn account Mr Qu.ni, 7 fat steers at 10s to Mr W, Gilchrist, 8 ditto at £lO 12s fid lo Meyers and Jones, 5 ditto at 10s to Mr B. Gould, 7 ditto at £9 lo Mr B. Butcher, 7 ditto at 0 17s 6d, and 6 ditto at £n 103 to McWhirter and Sons, 9 ditto'at 7s fid lo Meyeis and Jones, 6at 2,9 2S 6d IOMr V ' Lundon, Gat £i 12s fid to Meyers and Jones, Store steers, lat 10s, £l 3S 6d, £i -ios, £h 1 heifer (empty) at 14s, 12 months heifer at 28s, 1 heifer at 9s, yearlings at 17s 20s, 18s, 20s, 1 cow in profit at springers, second and third, at £i, ss, £i ißs, £3 4s, £2 17s fid, 355. Sheep, 649 were yarded' 220 wethers hoggets at 17s (passed), 45 wether hoggets at 1.5s nd (passed), 116 mixed sexes at 18s 2d, 60 ewes in lamb (aged) at 15s iod, 69 ewes and 30 lambs at 6s 6d (passed), 80 ewes and 80 lambs at 8s (all counted), 59 e,ves and 49 lambs (all counted) at us 4 d.
