Grenfcll to enhance the effect. The tableaux were .' Faith, Hope and Charity,"- •" Gtysy s Camp" and "Home, Sweet llouie,'' while two other items combining spectacular effect with a series of declama- , tions, were ■' The Seasons," representing the various months ol the yoar, and " Tea Party," representing the friends of Britain gathered round her, and concluding with a well arranged ' and effective group* A number ol • little girls introduced anl exhibition of recreation drill, a ling song, and an ac- ' lion song entitled * Setting tho Tea," . which was concluded with a tableaux, all three numbers being warmly applauded. Other items were a piano duct by Misses Couch and L. I.ane, a trio, "•The Three Maids of Lee,"- .by Misses F, Moscrop, Cross and 11. Grocott; A quartette, ." Cnrnivnle," by Misses Sinclair and Chase, MrsCrcnfell amipfessrs Valpy and : Couch ; a pianoforte duel, by the Misses 1 Thorpe; a recitation by Miss C. GrenJeil: and a recitation by Master S. Cross. The audience proved ,ts satisfaction with the programme by frequent applause, and a number jf encores, the tableaux being most popular. Gratifying results should be experienced, for the iall was nearly filled.
