LICENSING ELECTION.
The following is the result of the polling to elect five members to the Oamaru Licensing Committee. Very little interest was taken in the event, as wi'l be seen from the voting. The figures we gite below are only for the town aud Hilderthcpe. No arrangements were m de to get the resul's in from the country polling places, and it is quite possible when they do come in that it will be found that a small proportion of the voters have recorded their votes :
