Five hundred persous were weie present In the Oroua v. Christchurch match the game was a tie when the bell ranir, and pl^y was continued to decide the winner. Finally Christchurch beat Oroua by 3 goals to 2 In the Manawatu Rangitikei match, the former won by 8 to 1. The Christchurch and Manawatu play off to-morrow. The New Zealand Exploration Company are prepared to construct a steam tramway from Pareora to Waihi, wiihthe Waihi line to Wiifcekauri, without asking aid from the Government.
