ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual 'meeting of the above Council was hed yesterday, when there were present : Messrs Borrie (m the chair). Hall, Bhaw, Thomson, Williams, Nicolson, and Wylie. The clerk read the usual formula, and oalled for nominations for bhe office of chairman. Mr Duncan Sutherland was proposed by Mr Nicolson and seconded by Mr Williams, and unanimously elected. The minutes of lasb meeting were then read and confirmed. Mr Borrie welcomed the new councillors, saying that bhey had, he felt sure, s. Council bhat would work h„r moniously and pleasantly together, They had had their little differences m previous councils, but they had always endavored to confine these to bhe Council room. — (Hear, hear.)
