BISHOP LENIHAN'S CONSECRATION.

Bishop Gallagher, m tbe course of hia sermon, s»id the ceremony waa a reproduction of the first conaecraticp of an apoatle after the ascension of our Lord. Millar d'a solemn "Mass m G," Romberg's "Te Deum," etc., were Bung by the choir, whioh was strengthened by Mr Arthur Towsey and members of the Liedertafel. The orchestra waß alao reinforced by some of the leading instrumentalists of the ci'y. An im posing procession of prelates and pries b, aver forty strong, left the presbytery prior to the oeremony, parsing through a guard of honor formed by the Hibernian Socieby ano other societies and notabilities, thence under triumphal arches into thcathedral. Preparations on a lavish scale were made for the fibbing decoration of the interior of tht cathedral.
