THE PROHIBITION CONVENTION.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — The Rev. Mr Munro, of Rangiora, stated ab the prohibition meeting that he would " drink water as longas he lived, provided be could not geb anything else." To save the Rev. Mr Munro from such a dire calamiby, Mr Munro, the local brewer, invites the Rev. Mr Munro to call at the brewery, and Mr Munro will be mosb happy to give the Rev. Mr Munro a glasß of ale or stout, which Mr Munro thinks will cause a warm glow of generous thought to pervade the Rev. Mr Munro's body. It wonldn'b be the first time the Rev. Mr Munro has drunk Munro's besr. — I am, etc.,
