Donedin, March 18. Fat Cattle — 133 head were yarded. There was keen bidding and a sharp advance iv value?. Prime bullocks, L 8 to L 9 10s ; ordinary, L 7 to L 7 15s ; small, L 5 10s to L 6 10s ; prime cows, L 6 to L 7 12a 6d ; medium, L 4 10s co 1 5 10s ; aged and inferior, 1.2 to L 3 10s.

Fat Sheep. — 2402 were penned, mostly aged crossbred ewes. A few pens of prime wethers forward were well competed for.Ewes, on tho other hand, except those well finished, wero difficult to place, and on some a reduction of Is to Is Ci per head had to be submitted to Prime crossbred wethers, 10s 9d to 12s; medium, 9s to 10s 6d ; light, 8s to Sa 6d ; prime ewes, 9s to 10. Gd ; medium, 7s to Ss Gd ; aged and inferior, 4s to 6s.

Pigs.— 242 were forward. Fat did not exceed 50, and these brought extreme prices. The demand for grain- fed bacon of medium weight is very great. Porkers and baconers were fully 25 per cent higher than they have been of late. Well-bred grown stores too sold well, but suckers were almost unsaleable. Bacon pigs, 32s 6d to 48a ; porkers, 24s to SOs ; grown stores, 2ls to 29. ; slips, 6s 6d to 14s : suckers, 3s to 6s. Wheat. — Millers are only purchasing for immediate requirements, and shippers aro unable to operate at prices ruling. The market has consequently suffered a decline of 2d a bußhel, and wheat, even of good quality, is difficult to place. Prime velvet, 3s 7d to 3b B_d ; prme Tuscan, 3s 6d to 3b 6Jd ; medium milling, 3. 4d to 3s 6d (sacks m).

Oats. — No change m the market. A few new oata were offered during the week, and sold at quotations. Milling, Is Sd to Is B_d ; good, Is 7d to Is 7_d ; medium, Is s_d to Ib <s_d (sacks extra).

Barley — A better demand for malting, and prime lines are readily saleable at from 3s to 3s 4d ; feed and milling, 2. to 2a 7d" per bushel (sacks extra).
