WAITAKI COLLIE DOG TRIAL.

The weather was good and there waa a forge concourse of people ab the dog trial. All ths officials worked very hard to get the events off without a hitch, and the judges gave every saiisfac'ion, there being no unpleasantness at a'l. The members of the club held a smoke concert on the evening of the first day of the trial, at Mr Roberts' Hotel, and quite a jo;ly party they were. The following aie the results : Class I. — Heading, bringing baok and yarding, i mile. Time, 15min. First prizo LlO, second L 6, third L 3. Points — Heading 4, bringing back 8, and yarding 12. Mr W. There was only a difference of 3 points between the winners of the firat and second prizes. Great credit is due to Mr Roberts for tha hearty way m which he supports the j Waiaki Collie Dug Club, he having given I a gold medal for a prize last year, and a very valuable gold chain this year.
