CHRISTCHURCH. December 22.

A meeting of the Amateur Athletic Association was held last evening. Nineteen delegates were present. Thi secretary reported that the Victorian and New South Wslos representatives were expected to arrive next Friday. Arrangements were made for their reception. The New Soubh Wa'e3 team will be sprints — W. Cartwristhb, middle distances ; £. E. Corner, long distances ; H. W. C. Briggs, walks ; H. Goodwin, long jumps ; 440 flab and 440 hurdles, R. Masberton ; jumps, I J, E Gormley. Messrs Cuff (Canter bury), Low (Dunedin), M'Cormick (Auckland), and M'Cardle (Wellington), were appointed a coramibtee to select a New Zealand team for the Australasian meeting. Ib was decided to pay the travelling expenses, if any competitors were picked to represent the colony at the Australasian meeting who were not present at the New Zetland meeting. Officers were ap pointed forthe New Zealand championship* meeting.
